Cozumel received 77 cruise ships and 307,037 passengers in September 2026, according to Apiqroo. Compared with September 2025, arrivals rose 13.24% (from 68 to 77) and passengers rose 18.82% (from 258,399 to 307,037). The average was about 3,987 passengers per ship. The figure comes from an outlet, La Verdad Noticias, which relays Apiqroo data.

How many so far this year?

From January to September 2026 the totals are 995 cruise ships and 3,715,721 passengers.

And the economic impact?

The report estimates, assuming 83 dollars of spending per visitor, an impact of about 25.5 million dollars in September and 308.4 million so far in 2026. These are the outlet’s own estimates, not measured income.

Why is there another figure?

The Quintana Roo government release of October 25, 2026, about the Milan-Cozumel air route, speaks of 1,314 arrivals and more than 5.587 million cruise passengers between January and August. Those figures are incompatible with the 995 cruise ships and 3.7 million passengers that Apiqroo reports from January to September. It could not be clarified which is correct, and for that reason only Apiqroo’s figure is used here.

Data as of September 2026.
